‘Til We Meet Again, Ireland

Sadly, the time has come for me to leave the Emerald Isle behind and move on to the greatest of Britain’s. As I say farewell, I wanted to share some of my favorite experiences and images from from my time in Ireland.

Top 5 Favorite Things about Ireland:

  1. The Irish. They are a laid-back, friendly, and proud group that is more than happy to offer you a cup of tea or a pint for a chat.
  2. Beef and Guinness Stew with a pint of Smithwick’s. It is just happiness. I don’t know what else to say.
  3. Catching the rare sight of a lone black sheep in a pack of white sheep. Not as common as you would think considering how many sheep you pass grazing on green hills, but when you do…again, happiness.
  4. How the Irish love their dogs and how the dogs love them back. Dogs are considered part of the family and go EVERYWHERE. You know good people by how they treat dogs. The Irish are good people.
  5. The colors. Not just the patchwork of various greens you will see over a landscape, but also the pop of color seen on wildflowers, pubs, fields of heather…the list goes on. The colors leap out at you and the color explosion is unbelievable.

While I will miss Ireland, I know I will return again in the future. In the meantime, the country gave me some great photos to treasure.
